Diaphragm seals protect the pressure gauge against highly caustic and corrosive fluids and prevent clogging associated with suspended solids or highly viscous fluids-reducing downtime. Stainless steel (SS) diaphragms provide higher psi ratings; PTFE and FKM diaphragms have a lower psi rating. Glycerin fill in gauges help dampen pulsation and vibrations in heavy-duty process applications, as well as continually lubricating the gauge movement.
